B-ball is a big deal in the Philippines. Almost every village has a concrete court a hoop and a few balls kicking around. At almost all hours of the day, even in the full sun, you can see kids and adults playing hard. On my second visit to the island of Luzon, I was beat by a by two 6 year old kids, one v two. Not to say I'm good at basketball, but I can at least move around and shoot a bit... Learning at an early age and practicing often can sharpen ones skills.
