Ascend (by bus) from 1300m to 1500m

Jeff, Josh and I left from the Balaju bus stand in Kathmandu early on Jan 23 before the sunrise. We were bound in a rickety bus to the trailhead of the Langtang Valley where our trek would begin. As we departed the polluted Kathmandu valley we traveled first to lower elevations of the (familiar to me) Trisuli River. After a brief lunch stop we climbed up the western edge of the Langtang National Park and we arrived before dark to the trailhead town of Sheparubesi. At the Green Lodge, the sound from the water rushing across the nearby Tibetan border put us to sleep. No horns, pollution or power outages here...
