Climb from 2600m to 3000m

The next morning after a big breakfast of omlettes and tibetan-style flat breads, we headed east on the north side of the river and were hiking in the shade until a town called "Lama Hotel." As we continued up after lunch we caught our first solid view of Langtang Lirung, the 7000m peak which the park and river are named after. I kept thinking to myself: all these oaks and mosses sure look like the cloud forest of Costa Rica!

For lunch that day we stopped at a small town called "Riverside" where we met a woman named Chucki who prepared us Tibetan bread with yak cheese. We also did some hilarious impromptu video recording of Josh, Jeff, Chucki and I singing random songs. That night Chucki recommended we stay with her sister, Yangi, in Ghora Tabela. Recommendations were coming at us left and right as we climbed higher into the mountains, but we enjoyed Chucki's company and when we met her sister, we were stoked again.
